Present by Paula Boyle
We were delighted to share our very first staged reading of the play in November 2024, where a brilliant group of actors brought this story to life. We followed it with an insightful feedback session with the audience, for which we couldn't be more grateful. We look forward to continuing our work on Present in future - stay tuned for updates!
Check out what our lovely audience had to say about the staged reading of Present.

Written by our very own co-founder, Paula Boyle, Present is a poignant drama with elements of light comedy, set in a small community.
The play explores themes of trauma, recovery, and the unseen struggles of everyday people. At its core, Present is a meditation on how the bonds of friendship, especially among women, can offer hope, growth and the strength to forgive oneself.
Amidst the dark themes of domestic violence, miscarriage, and loss, the play also highlights the joy, humanity, and strength found in community and daily interactions. It seeks to raise awareness about the widespread impact of domestic violence, while offering a story of hope, resilience, and the possibility of a better future.
